During Dee # 8217 ; s visit to Mama and Maggie, the differentiation of the characters turns into a battle on the grounds that Dee loses the hugeness of legacy in her longing for racial legacy. Mother and Maggie represent the association between coevalss what's more, the legacy that went between them. Mother and Maggie keep on populating together in their low spot. Mother is a hearty grown-up female who does the needful consideration of the land, I am a major, enormous boned grown-up female with unsmooth, man-working authorities. In the winter, I wear overalls during the twenty-four hours. I can murder and clean a pig each piece barbarously as a grown-up male. Dee endeavors to connect with her racial legacy by taking # 8220 ; a great many pictures of me sitting at that place in forepart of the house with Maggie She neer takes a shooting without doing certain the house is incorporated # 8221 ; ( Walker 291 ) . Dee takes an another name without understanding her unique name ; neither does Dee try to larn. Additionally, Dee takes a portion of the hand-made purposes of her female parent # 8217 ; s, for example, the agitate top which she will use # 8220 ; as a highlight for the cove even cluster # 8221 ; ( Walker 293 ) . Dee partners the focuses with her legacy currently, yet thought nil of them in her youngster as when the principal house burned to the ground. Dee # 8217 ; s quest for her legacy is outside, wishing to hold these arranged focuses so as to uncover them in her place. Dee needs the focuses on the grounds that she sees each to hold esteem, as appeared in the duologue among Dee and Mama about the sofas after supper. Dee # 8217 ; s esteeming of the blanket battles with Mama # 8217 ; s perceptual experience of the sofa-beds. Dee considers the sofa invaluable in light of the fact that the sofa is hand-sewed, non machined, by expressing, # 8220 ; There are all bits of dresses Grandma used to have on. She did this sewing by manus. Envision! # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) . Dee plans to uncover the sofa-beds or # 8220 ; Hang them, # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) not at all like Maggie who may # 8220 ; put them to regular use # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) . Notwithstanding, Mama # 8220 ; guaranteed to give them sofa-beds to Maggie, for when she weds # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) . Mom knows there exists an association of legacy in Maggie ; Mom realizes that # 8220 ; It was Grandma Dee and Big Dee who instructed [ Maggie ] how to stitch # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) . In light of Maggie # 8217 ; s association, Mama takes the sofa-beds from Dee who # 8220 ; held the sofas solidly in her weaponries, stroking them holding onto them near her chest # 8221 ; ( Walker 294 ) like consecrated graven pictures, thus offers them to Maggie. After Mama gives Maggie the sofa-beds, Dee says, # 8220 ; You only Wear # 8217 ; t comprehend Your legacy # 8221 ; ( Walker 295 ) . Dee accepts legacy to be the sofa-bed on the divider or the stir in the narrows. Dee realizes the focuses are hand-made yet non the insight and history behind the focuses. However, Mama cognizes the perception and history and realizes that Maggie does exorbitantly. Unexpectedly, Dee scrutinizes Mama for non understanding legacy when, indeed, Dee neglects to genuinely get legacy. Dee mistakenly topographic focuses legacy altogether in what she possesses, non what she knows.

Differences Between the Genders in Leadership Ability or Approach? Essay

To begin, when individuals look at different effective pioneers, for example, Donald Trump, John Rockefeller, or Henry Ford, they generally use words to depict their characters, for example, being intense, persistent, serious and driven. A person’s character is a lot of inconspicuous attributes and procedures that underlie a generally steady example of conduct in light of thoughts, articles or individuals in the earth. (Foolish, 2011) These character characteristics characterize the pioneer and we as a whole realize individuals contrast from multiple points of view prompting different styles of authority. Contrasts in character, perspectives, qualities and convictions will impact how individuals decipher a task or an undertaking. Initiative viability is comprehensively founded on the leaders’ characters and mentalities while likewise how successfully they decipher contrasts among workers. These variables influence the pioneer adherent collaboration yet will sexual orien tations in authority influence the general initiative capacity or approach? I accept that there are contrasts in sexual orientations in initiative capacities and approaches. On the off chance that administration depends on characters and mentalities, I unequivocally accept that there are contrasts in initiative capacities and approaches while thinking about male and female jobs. While considering the qualities of guys contrasted with females as pioneers, men customarily are more forceful and self-assured than ladies. Guys will in general be emotional to contending, while when all is said in done ladies lean toward a far less serious condition than men. Those qualities can basically prompt different alternate points of view on initiative methodologies in regard to sexual orientation. Male pioneers will in general be progressively individualistic and lean toward working in vertical chains of importance depending on formal specialists and positions in their dealings with subordinates. Female pioneers will in general be increasingly community, and are progressively worried for relationship building, comprehensiveness, interest, and mindful. (Stupid, 2011) So for the most part the distinctions in male attributes contrasted with female characteristics will cause various methodologies towards administration styles. Sexual orientation will likewise influence capacities dependent on suspicions about the male and female qualities. Research looking at authority styles of ladies and men have been explored and there was proof found for both nearness and the nonattendance of contrasts between the genders. Cliché desires that ladies lead in a relational arranged style and men lead in an errand situated style, was seen as bogus. They discovered outcomes that female and male pioneers don't have contrasts in these two styles of hierarchical investigations. Anyway in the examination that surveyed the authority styles was steady with the stereotypic assumptions regarding various parts of administration styles. In the propensity to lead fairly or imperiously ladies would in general receive a progressively vote based or participative methodology and a less totalitarian or order approach than did men. (Eagly and Johnson, 1990) These discoveries can speak to and can be deciphered as far as a social job hypothe sis of sex contrasts. These generalizations uncover that men are moderately predominant and controlling. There is a manly method of the board described by characteristics, for example, intensity, various leveled authority, high control for the pioneer, and dispassionate and logical critical thinking. (Loden, 1985) He likewise contended that ladies like and will in general carry on as far as an elective ladylike authority model. This model is portrayed by helpfulness, coordinated effort of supervisors and subordinates, lower control for the pioneer, and critical thinking dependent on instinct and sympathy just as levelheadedness. He based his discoveries around the possibility that ladies and men, including the individuals who are supervisors in associations, carry on characteristically somewhat. I would need to concur with this conviction since people plainly act distinctively and the manner in which they act will reflect the manner in which they lead. There have been huge quantities of lab and field cont emplates performed by social clinicians based around female and male practices. Quantitative audits of this examination have built up the nearness instead of the nonappearance of by and large sex contrasts. (Lobby, 1984) They additionally presumed that these distinctions, in spite of the fact that not so enormous, will in general be good to most different discoveries. There have additionally been discoveries that the degree of intensity will straightforwardly influence the sort of authority one will appear. There are sensible suppositions that recommend that male and female pioneers who involve the equivalent hierarchical job ought to vary practically nothing. They expect that supervisors of both genders are more worried about overseeing viably as opposed to about speaking to sex-separated highlights of social sexual orientation jobs. Kanter contended that there are obvious sex contrasts when there is a result of the varying auxiliary places of the genders inside the association. (Eagly and Johnson, 1990) Because ladies are all the more regularly in places of little force or opportunity, they will act in manners that mirror their absence of intensity. Eagly and Johnson presumed that an allot investig ation could give more knowledge on authority styles of guys and females. The general patterns indicated that ladies were increasingly worried about upkeep of relational connections and assignment achievement. The primary distinction discovered was that ladies would in general receive an increasingly absolutist or participative style while men the inverse. They attempted to make qualifications about the distinctions in that first, ladies who have figured out how to prevail as pioneers would have all the more profoundly created relational abilities. Another clarification is that ladies are not acknowledged as promptly as men as pioneers and, accordingly, need to permit contribution to their dynamic. Eagly and Johnson’s results are confirmed by other research. Statham likewise discovered proof of two sex-separated administration styles. He revealed that ladies utilized a more assignment fascinated and individual contributed style, while men utilize a more picture charmed and self-governance contributed style. (Moran, 1992) In an investigation concentrated on sex contrasts in correspondence presents a potential clarification of various methodologies. Tannen, the scientist, concentrated on how people had various encounters while growing up which lead to esteeming various things. He presumed that men are instructed to prize status, freedom, and the intensity of network. These qualities lead people to carry on in various manners. The field of sexual orientation contrasts in administration styles is still and zone with extraordinary inquiries with out answers. Indeed, even with different examinations gave to the subject of sexual orientation, there will consistently be unanswered inquiries. An ever increasing number of specialists keep on analyzing issues with respect to any inborn contrasts between authority styles of guys and females. At present, with the proof gave, proposes that there are contrasts in sexual orientation authority capacities and approaches. In spite of the fact that there are insignificant contrasts, there are contrasts in guys and females points of view on initiative. We can perceive that there are various pioneers with various authority styles, however we cant naturally partner one style to a specific sexual orientation. People the same will be confronted with difficulties and should build up the right administration styles to turn into a fruitful pioneer. References Ignorant, R. (2011). The Joys and Pains of Teaching Seniors

There is a certain attitude in high schools that Senior teachers often get off easy. Typically, their students finish sooner than the rest of the school. Further, the worst behaved students have often times left school for good by that point. Despite these positives, teaching Seniors is not always a bed of roses. So how do we keep students who are suffering from Chronic Senioritis motivated? I cant say I have all the answers, but I can give you some insights that might help you make it through the last day of graduation practice without losing your mind or your patience. Teaching Seniors requires a person with a special personality. You cant take things as seriously with Seniors because, honestly, you are dealing with at least four special circumstances: Non-college bound students who are doing fine and will definitely graduate. They know that by second semester they only need to pass (not excel) in your class and therefore they do not take it seriously. Note: If you teach an non-required elective, this is even worse.College-bound students who by their second semester have already been accepted to their University and know that it is VERY rare that students will be turned away based on their last semester grades unless they fail.Students who are in danger of not graduating and are doing everything they can to stay afloat and make that grade that will give them the required GPA.Students who have no chance of graduating on time. These can be divided into two subcategories: those that will take the required summer courses to graduate and those that wont. Further, the ones who wont are often under the false impression that somehow a miracle will happen and they will be allowed to graduate. (Whats really sad is that many schools allow the se individuals to actually walk across the stage - just not get a diploma. Why cant we teach our students the harsh reality of their poor decisions? They will learn them soon enough - so arent we doing them a disservice by not helping them learn coping mechanisms now? But thats another article for another day.) So with that said, you can probably see that your best and average students are usually not interested in giving it their all. The only people still interested in working hard are those who either do or dont have a chance to graduate on time. And they are most interested in getting work in that will raise their grades. What to do? You can choose to give up for the last semester and just show movies - loosely based on your topic. You can continue teaching as always hoping they will settle down and get back to the way they were first semester. Or you can change what you are doing and include interest building activities that could actually result in some thinking and learning. Ideas for Interest Building Activities: Have the entire Senior class work on a project that culminates near the end of the year. In my school, we always had a Mock Legislature. Kids spent time writing bills and then for two days, the bills went through committees. If they made it through the House committees then they had to go to the Senate committees. If they made it out of their, they had to go to the entire House and Senate. If they made it out of that, the Governor would determine if it was a worthy bill and either sign or veto it. Of course, the competition for the top spots (committee chairs, Speaker, Governor, etc.) would be advertised and students would have to apply and turn in resumes. etc. This kept kids motivated and interested in coming to school. Hold classroom debates Go back to Grade School. The oddest thing happens with last semester Seniors. They are eager to leave but they are also (secretly) afraid of leaving the safety of High School. Therefore, they seem to really enjoy activities in class that requ ire artwork, cutting and pasting, experimenting, even coloring. Make them curricularly-sound - they will enjoy it. Teach them about what they can expect in College. Spend a little time talking to them about college and about how to succeed. Teach them note-taking skills. Let them in on some truths - like how important it is to figure out each professor at the beginning of a course to know how best to turn in work that they will appreciate. Help them create goals. There is no greater gift that you can give them giving students a road map to making their dreams become reality. Play educational games. Some simulation games provide students wiht a real depth of understanding. Interact has an awesome line up of simulations throughout the curriculum. Even though something might be listed as for Middle School, it can still be used in the upper grade. In the end, motivating Seniors is more about changing your teaching style to keep their interest. This is not say that you have to be an entertainer but if you want to make the last months of school enjoyable each year, try one or more of these strategies and see what happens. Good Luck!

Machiavelli And Aristotle s Ways Of Thinking - 2396 Words

Often when analyzing key political shifts, one evaluates great men who reformed political theory. Niccolà ³ Machiavelli and Aristotle are shinning examples of great men of history, and they both had large contributions to political philosophy. Machiavelli and Aristotle’s ways of thinking varied very much. Machiavelli believed that a prosperous state would revolve around fear. Whereas Aristotle believed that a state that revolved around the principles of trust, and a humble leader were the keys to its success. Although both of these thinkers’ ideas are now partially out-dated as they were written in both Medieval Europe and Ancient Greece, however their ideas continue to exist in modern civilization. Niccolà ³ Machiavelli (1469-1527) was†¦show more content†¦Not without reason, many commentators suggest that Machiavelli was the father of modern political thought or modern political science. One of Machiavelli’s most notable positions was serving as a political advisor to the Borgia family. The family’s name became synonymous with betrayal and murder, as the head of the family was a controversial figure, Pope Alexander VI. Machiavelli was impressed with the ways in which the Borgia family members seized and maintained their power, and sought to advise the Pope in Machiavelli’s own direction, a direct line into concentrated political reform. Perhaps what makes Machiavelli so famous, was his work â€Å"on Principalities† [1512], or as it is now titled, The Prince. The well-known book announced a dramatic shift in a new way of thinking in terms of political power. The political doctrine laid out moral and religious systems of thought. Machiavelli is also know for stating his thoughts on the truth of politics, how the world â€Å"ought† to be rather than how it â€Å"is†. Machiavelli being a realist adopted the that one should fear their leader instead of love him, as subjects love at their pleasure while they fear at the pleasure of the leader in power. He also insisted on violence and cruelty to keep the order in a state, as it creates fear in terms of the leader however it helps avoid

Now, McDonalds front stage functions include interaction with the customers who are visiting the retail stores of the organization in an appropriate manner. As per the article by Koh et al. (2014) interactions with the customers is an extremely important factor that can enhance the sales volume to a different level. Therefore, McDonalds back-stage functions include purchasing process of raw materials to the inventory management syst em of the organization. McDonalds tries to utilize back-end process in such a way so that it can minimize the amount of wastage of raw materials in an appropriate manner. Moments of truth for the service organization: Behind the success of a business organization, both the employees and the customers leave equal contribution. An effective interaction between the organizational service providers and the customers is highly needed for maintaining organizational reputation and image. The overarching term moment of truth can be defined as the communication between the customers and the organization with the help of products and services (Allred Addams, 2013). The customers like to gather an impression on the organization based on the product quality and service procedure of a specific business organization. McDonald being one of the largest chain hamburger restaurants in US has spread a predominant place all over the World due to their effective service as well as product quality. McDonald has received immense positive responses from the customers based on which the organization has expanded the entire process of business in various multinational countries. As per the website of McDonald, the report says that the customer service department has received only 5% customer service complaint in the last year. The interaction that the service providers tend to maintain within the business organization is able to deal with the organization effectively (Cina, 2013). In order to provide an effective service to the customers McDonald has decided to take some of the major initiatives that are as follows: Employee training: In order to handle the complaints of different kinds of customers, McDonald likes to provide four steps training methods to the customers. At the training session, the experts suggest the organizational employees to identify the reason of customer dissatisfaction first. Customers become highly dissatisfied only when they fail to communicate effectively with the customer executive. Technology: The entire department of customer service system of McDonald is endowed with advancement of technology. Before using the products and services of this organization, the customers can get an in-depth knowledge and view with the help of internet (Frenk De Ferranti, 2012). The official website of McDonald is very much updated based on which customers can know a deep insight about organizational services, products, about the company, upcoming service facilities, ways of product promotion and so many. In addition, at the time of providing services to the customers, the organization likes to keep a constant data about the customers including their needs and demands. Keep a constant data on regional links: In order to reduce the range of issues on behalf of customers, the organization likes to make an effective market survey based on the particular regional (Hakanen Jaakkola, 2012). The primary responsibility of the regional head to gather necessary information about the most happening complaints rose on behalf of the customers. After identifying the issue, the managers should take an effective decision for resolving the problem. McDonald intends to short out those kinds of problems on the regional basis. As a result, the customers would automatically get an effective result from the service providers of McDonald. Figure 2: The implementation of Moments of truth for the service organization like McDonald (Source: Jaakkola Alexander, 2014) Determinants of the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of the service organization and the relevant theories regarding the service quality management The customer service process of McDonald has received immense positive responses based on which the business experts have expanded the widespread wings in different countries all over the World. As per the overall market survey conducted as per the region, it has been observed that most of the customers have appreciated the rush service procedure and same day service procedure highly. McDonald primarily likes to maintain some of the primary service procedures that are as follows: Rush Service: Rush process service has been used widely within the service process of McDonalds. Rush process service implies that customers should never wait for a long time in order to receive a quality service from the organization (Janssen, 2012). Based on a particular region, the servers tend to make a target group. After selecting the customers and their regional background, the service providers intend to provide ad maintain quality of products. For an example, the service procedure of McDonald USA should be different from the service procedure of McDonald Australia. In order to deliver an effective service to the customers of USA, this particular organization intends to maintain effective communication especially to draw customers attention. On the other hand, Australian customers are primarily concerned with the on time service procedure (Maister, 2012). Therefore, the service providers have to make a balance between supply and demand of the products. While maintaining the rush service procedure, business experts of McDonald keeps a major concern on some of the major factors. The factors include delivering the service procedure within time. The customers should not have to wait for a large time for getting effective service. Same Day Service: Same day service implies that the organization should deliver the entire service process within the date of receiving orders. McDonald being a fast food delivery center tends to use this particular service process effectively (Ramanathan, 2014). It has been observed in general that people tend to receive the service of a particular food only that day they have provided the order. Therefore, same day service policy is very much effective for this kind of food industry. Theory of service quality management: Dynamic service management theory has serious been followed within McDonald. As per this particular theory organization should never restricted to one particular service process. With the upgrading progress of civilization, the tastes and demands of the customers are changing day by day (Sharma Lambert, 2013). Therefore, the business managers should change the service procedure as per the upcoming needs and demands of the customers. For an instance, McDonald liked to follow high-touch customer service policy at the beginning of their journey. High-touch customer service policy is one of the most important service procedures with the help of which the service providers liked to wait to gain the interest of customers (Stadtler, 2015). At the very first stage, the providers intended to approach the customers for using the facilities and benefits of their services. If the customers showed their interest for using the service as well as the products, the service providers intended to proceed for the next step. However, in order to create a demand on the market in comparison to the other competitors such as Dominos, KFC and so on, McDonald decided to follow Low Touch customer Service. Low touch customer service implies that service providers are able to provide a large number of facilities in low price (Wandersman, Chien Katz, 2012). As a result, low cost customers can easily purchase the service and the products of McDonald. If the organization like McDonald can make the target group as both premium cost customer and low cost customers, the range of target group can automatically be enhanced (Wang et al., 2012). As a result, the business organization gets a major scope to enhance the revenue growth in the market. However, while discussing the service satisfactory factors regarding the business organization like McDonald, one specific gap in the service process has also been pointed out. Dominos is primarily famous for the quality of their services (Warren, 2012). After the entry of dominos, a large number of customers have showed their interest to change their consumer ship from McDonald to Dominos. Home delivery service process was primarily been rendered by the business experts of Dominos. People are able to enjoy the taste of food sitting at their home. As a result, consumers do not have to visit the organization for using the products and services. This particular service strategy had come as a major threat for McDonald. After that the concept of Rush service process had been effectively implement with the business process of McDonald. Figure 3: Service quality management of McDonald (Source: Yoon, Kim Rhee, 2012) Service recovery strategy plan: As already stated, this particular organization had to face a major threat from Dominos regarding the entire service process. The service gap has also been mentioned in this particular study. However, in order to make an effective service recovery plans and policies, some of the major steps can be implemented that are as follows: Service recovery plans Description Implementing home delivery service being available at twenty four hours McDonald should take an immediate initiative for implementing home delivery services to the customers. People from different geographical boundaries may not be able to visit the restaurant for using products and services. In this kind of situation, the business organization should deliver the order to the home of the customers so that the customers do not have to jump physically to the organization. They should get the facilities for enjoying the food sitting at their dining room. Maintaining an effective market survey in order to know the current needs and demands of the customers Business organizations have to change their service strategies and policies as per the current needs and demands of the customers. Therefore, before fixing the service strategies or tools, McDonald should conduct one effective market survey with the help of which market executives would be able to know which particular service procedure is currently suitable for them. Based on the needs of customers, the business experts should form organizational strategies and policies. McDonald is not exceptional to that. If the customers tend to show their reluctance on low touch customer service, the business experts can use some of the other business strategies and policies such as transparent customer service, clueless customer service and evil customer services. Being aware of the competitors market threat and taking an effective measure on it Competitors market threat should be the major concern for every business organization. If the competitors can defeat the organizational plans and polices, the reliable customers also tend to lose their confidence on the service process of particular organization. McDonald is not different from any perspective. Therefore, before forming the business strategy and policy, the business organization like McDonald should have an in-depth knowledge and experience about the strengths and weakness of the competitors. On one hand, the service quality of Dominos has already gained a market demand in the realm of fast food industry. On the other hand, McDonald has drawn the customers attention in terms of product reliability. Therefore, service procedure should be a major concern for the business organization like McDonald based on which the customers from various geographical boundaries tend to show their interest for using services. Table 1: Service recovery strategy plan (Source: Zhao et al., 2012) Conclusion: Service procedure plays a major role for rendering the success of a business organization. Maintaining the quality of products can never be the primary concern for a business organization. McDonald should focus on the service procedures so that people from various places can show their interest for purchasing the products. This particular study has provided an in-depth understanding regarding the service procedures of McDonald that have primary been used for many years. The customers reaction regarding the service quality of this particular organization has also been discussed here. In comparison to KFC and Dominos, the service quality of McDonald should be improved. Otherwise, the business experts may have to face a major threat from the competitors. Based on the service gap, an effective action plan has also been prepared in this specific study. Some of the effective measures have been planned and initiated for improving the service procedures of McDonald. References: Allred, A. T., Addams, H. L. (2013). Health care system Essays - Health, Evaluation, Health Informatics

Health care system Name Institutional affiliation Date The standards that are found in health care if positive gives a difference in the quality of our lives. It does not matter whether those are our relatives or we are the patients (Swayne, et al 2012). Given that there are financial constraints, nurses are now jack of all trades and most managements are now forced to place resources where there is great need. There needs to be qualitative measures so that quality results are produced when we consider the best health care for the country (Swayne, et al 2012). The review of the plan was done at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hamton , Viginia . The review showed that the response of the medical personnel greatly needs improvement (Smith- Bindman , et al 2012). The other area is the patient's need of help. The survey showed that about 65% of patients at Sentara Careplex hospital gave a report that they are always receiving help immediately after asking for it. From this it is clear that 35% of the patients reported that they did not receive help the moment they asked for it (Smith- Bindman , et al 2012). The satisfaction of the customer in this case can be related to the quality of the outcome given that customers gage the quality they receive on what they expect rather than the service that is provided ( Grandia , 2014). In several cases when a patient is asking for help they are always expecting that the care provider should have an ability and willingness to help in a timely manner. There are cases where a patient just asks for water or just a minimal thing and there are cases where medical emergencies arise and the patient an immediate lifesaving care. Several problems arising from lack of prompt care are problems arising from lack of prompt care and develop over time like the infection of the bladder, bed sores and dehydration ( Grandia , 2014). The system used for analysis is this case is the evaluation method. This method was selected because it gives the appropriate information that answer the questions of the stakeholders but not because they are easy, popular or familiar ( Grandia , 2014). The method used has implications for what counts as evidence, it also gives a clue on how the evidence will be gathered and thee claims to be made. Given that every method has its own limitations and biases. We choose this method for analysis because they are more robust ( Grandia , 2014). The criteria used in analysis here is gathering credible evidence. The raw material for a good evaluation is gathering credible evidence. The information that is gathered should be seen by the stakeholders to be credible ( Carayon , et al 2014). The system involves thinking broadly about what is counted as evidence. The decision made here is situational because they depend on the question that has been posed and the motive behind the question. There are questions that a stakeholders' standards for credibility can sometimes demand having the results of the randomized experiment ( Carayon , et al 2014). There will also be a set of well-done observations like the interactions between the staffs and the community residents or the patients. This has a very high credibility. The difference here is found on the type of information that the stakeholders are looking for and the situation that the information has been gathered ( Carayon , et al 2014). There are situations that are necessary in consulting the evaluation specialists. In this survey the local people offer deepest insights. The ones involved in the evaluation should try to collect information that they convey as credible ( Masic , 2016). Credible evidence helps in strengthening the evaluation results and the recommendations that follow them though all the data collected have some limitations but is possible in improving the overall evaluation credibility. Through encouraging the participation of the stakeholders has enhanced perceived credibility ( Masic , 2016). Implementation of the plan The implementation of the plan will involve four basic steps in implementing this plan. The first step will involve planning. This will involve developing a plan that are

Ode On A Grecian Urn

John Keats expresses his feelings on many matters of the complex world in which he lived in two of his poems, â€Å"Ode to a Nightingale† and â€Å"Ode on a Grecian Urn†. Since the two have many similarities, as well as differences, coupling them can result in some overall conclusions. Within these two odes, Keats suggests that life in his time was full of suffering, sorrow, and pain. He then implies that this harsh reality is worth enduring because of the beauty that lies beneath and that has a tendency to resurface. He also proposes that it is actually all of the negative aspects of life that allow one to realize true beauty. Keats achieves this in these two works through the use of many themes and symbols. This allows him to effectively convey his feelings, observations, and conclusions about the aspects of life he analyzes. The first aspect of interest is Keats’ development of the cruel reality of the world that surrounds the speakers. In both poems they seem to be fixated on their own woe and despair. In â€Å"Ode on a Grecian Urn† the speaker begins by asking many questions directly towards an aged urn. He asks it, â€Å"What men or gods are these? What maidens loth? / What mad pursuit? What struggle to escape? / What pipes and timbrels? What wild ecstasy?† (8-10) He sees a beautiful scene that features happy young men, maidens, revelers, and minstrels underneath fully leaved trees. He is awed by the scene depicted on the urn and wants to know â€Å"what leaf-fring’d legend haunts about [its] shape† (5). The descriptive imagery contained in his questions allows the reader to visualize some of the details of the picture, such as the man chasing a maiden. He says to him â€Å"never canst thou kiss, / †¦yet, do not grieve; / She cannot fade† (17-1 9). The other side of the urn, described in the fourth stanza, depicts a procession of priests and villagers on their way to make a sacrifice. To this the speaker asks, â€Å"... Strategy and Planning Essay Essay Example for Free

Strategy and Planning Essay Essay The maximum exploitation of our resources is the key to advantage over the competitors. Marketing is one of the main areas in which a well versed strategic plan can make the organisation to attract customers here the way in which we describe the organizations motives, goals and the dedication to the customers reflect in our adverts. So, cleverly placing the right factors in the right place is a challenge in the strategic planning decision making. In this ever changing business environment the only way of survival of an organisation depends upon the decisions it makes. Thus strategic planning is the key factor to success. In this research we will briefly discuss about the tools of strategy and the outcomes of implementing these tools in an organisation. We will discuss about SWOT analysis, PESTEL analysis and Potters Five Force. 3 (b). SWOT Analysis SWOT analysis is one of the tools in strategic planning and decision making. This tool helps us to judge the organizations position in the business environment. SWOT stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats. Strength The organizations factors which are most influential with respect to customers, market share, and brand value and so on. The strength of an organisation maybe its good will, an excellent customer relationship management and many other sensitive factors which lies on the organizations side. Weakness The things which are an advantage of the competitor and a disadvantage to our organisation. The weakness factor may depend upon our organizations own business policies and or work ethics which binds us to a corner, the competitors takes advantage of this issue and exploit the opportunity but fine tuning our strategy and decision making will bring in a drastic change. Opportunities The chance in which all the things fall in line for our organisation to exploit and to make a profit of it is the definition for opportunities. Opportunities can occur due to a change in trend of customers, brand switching an so on. It is wise for an organisation to make use of such opportunities. Threats The main and most important factor is the threats from rivals and competitors. If an organisation fails to with stand the threats from the competitors then it will surely end up in bankruptcy, the competition may come up with innovative ways of marketing and attracting customers so it is our bounded duty to over come the competitors by creating innovative ways of marketing through strategic planning. Example for SWOT analysis Soft drink giant: Coca-Cola Strengths One of the most successful organisations of all time. The brand value of Coca-Cola is worth more than $68 million in 2009. the company manages its products over 200 countries with over 700 products which is a gigantic goal to achieve but maintaining it as the leader of its kind is still another battle. People tend to be faithful to the Coca-Cola brand because of its one main product the cola drink. So a wide variety of different products from the company with the same brand name tends to market the products for itself. (www. interbrand. com) Weaknesses The Coca-ColaCompany products are beverages so the main weakness for them is that they have this lobby of beverage segment and this is might be their weakness because in the long run they might hit the ground if any other company produces a better beverage. And nowadays people tend to make choices more often than in the past so it is a vulnerable area to be looked upon! Opportunities People are concerned about their health now more than ever so the introduction of Coke Zero a new product from the Coca-ColaCompany is catching up a considerable amount of market share because of its new distinct taste without added sugar in some countries but basically its a new drink with zero calories, the company claims!. The company is exploiting the current trend of health criteria. Threats The main competitor of Coca-ColaCompany is the PepsiCo Inc, the Pepsi Cola Company introduces new products in response to the Coca-ColaCompany. The Coca-ColaCompany is trying very hard to cope up with the situation. During 998 the PepsiCo Inc managed to out smart the company. So without the proper strategic planning PepsiCo will soon go beyond the Cokes victory 3(c). The PESTLE Analysis The most important tool of strategic planning is the PESTEL analysis. The PESTEL analysis is a tool which helps us to judge our position in the market with respect to the macro environment. PESTLE stands for P Political Forces, E Economical Forces, S -Social Forces, T -Technological Forces, L Legislative Forces and E Environmental Forces. These forces influence the overall performance, market value, finance and customer relationship of the company. We will briefly discuss about the PESTEL forces one by one by implementing into an organisation. Example : Integrated Electronics (INTEL) Semiconductors. The Intel Semiconductors are the producers of the famous Intel microchips which literally runs the computer industry but with some rivals such as AMD Inc (Advanced Micro devices). Here we will apply the PESTEL analysis to know the factors that are influencing the Intel semiconductors. Political : The implementation of new taxes and the internationalism of the products tends to make the company to adhere to strict rules in each country which the company is ventured on. So Intel is focusing upon its new products onto buyers and not on further research and development because of the political pressure around the organisation. Economic: The semiconductor industry is in rise. So, the financial status of the company is rising due to a smaller amount of competitors there is lower amount of threats so the economic factor of the company is in concrete position as of now. Social: The company is present in an ever changing dynamic business environment so it has to be sensitive to changes that occur in the environment and then adapt to the changes that takes place. Technological: The semiconductor industry is ever growing in rapidly increasing speed. So, the technological advancements of the industry must be up to date due to high growth ratio of processors which are used in computers across the globe. The research and development team comes up with new innovative ideas to integrate the previous processing unit into the new one with advanced technology so the computation power increases more than double the time the predecessor microchip used to compute. Legislative: The legal factors are important factors of the company because every country that the company venture into must strictly adhere to that particular countrys rules and regulations. Environment: Being a semiconductor company the company must look after environmental issues which affect the world so the semiconductor devices must be environmentally friendly and recycling of the devices plays a vital role in the environmental factor. The company has a good background of making environmentally friendly chips and recycling units so the environmental issue is under control. (http://ivythesis. typepad. com) 3(d). Porters Five Forces: The porters five forces is a business strategy tool which is used to analyse the position of a company and assessing its strength with respect to the competitors in this case new entrants and their impact in this ever changing environment. The porters five forces are: Existing rivalry among firms Threat of new entrants determinants of supplier power Determinants of buyer power Threat of substitute products Example: AIRBUS The porters five applied to the Airbus aviation company who have been the most influential carriers of all time apart from Boeing. These two major aircraft companies were literally in a fight for gaining the considerable mount of market share. Since the introduction of Airbus A380 the Boeing Company has lost lot of customers. The new entrant in our case the A380 is so much advanced than the legendary Boeing 747 which literally ruled the skies. The Boeing 747 was a fuel efficient and economically well versed passenger and good carrier aircraft but the major flaw in t he Boeing decision making is that it was not concentrating on the future of the aircraft but it produced a wide variant of Boeing 700 series but the cleverly devised strategic plan of Airbus was a nightmare to the Boeing corporation. The A380 has an excellent performance with regardless of its massive size the jumbo jet can people double the time the Boeing 747 used to carry. Since the aviation industry has only fewer concentrations of rivals the market share is huge compared to other industries. So with the new A380, Airbus has a considerable amount of stake in the airline industry. But Boeings answer to A380 is the new 787 dreamliner. Which is more fuel efficient but in the case of size the A380 outsmarts the Boeing. Importance of Change: The change management in an organisation is the most important factor which influences the future of an organisation. It describes an strategic approach in modifying or altering an organizations internal factors such as teams, individuals etc. there are different ways to achieve the change in an organisation by collaborative which is done by providing workshops and seminars explaining about the change to the people working in the organization. Consultative the people are informed about the change and the feedback of the change is taken into consideration. Directive the members of the staff are informed about the details of the change and the sensitivity of the change. Coercive the members are forced to follow the change. Example of Change: The acquisition of Iberia by British Airways The British Airways acquired the Iberia for $7 billion and it made the third largest airline in the world. The member of the staff was quickly adapted to the change in different management team. The Iberia staff members were given a change management session on order to cope up with the new acquisition. The acquisition made the stock holders value to increase and they were given a 55 percent of the new airlines share. 4. Conclusion: We have so far discussed about some of the Strategic planning tools and the ways in which they can be exploited. And in conclusion we can say that the way in which we approach the organisation with the necessary tools and strategic planning will make a gigantic impact on the organisation in the present and in the future. In this ever changing business environment the challenge for each organisation is to identify the needs of the customers and to create an appropriate strategic plan to approach the problem which will provide the optimum results which can benefit the customers as well as the organisation. . Lord of the Flies :: essays papers

Lord of the Flies Lord of the flies is an extremely psychologically involved novel that forces the reader to constantly think. It plays mind games and displays some frankly blunt ideas. It provokes thought by constantly alluding to the thematic side of the novel. Golding uses the island to show the evil in man, that society holds everyone together, and that man learns nothing from his mistakes. We are made to think about man himself. The boys that enter the island are perfectly normal, they are not evil or bad in any way. On the island all rules of society are removed and in many of the boys something starts to grow. Golding tries to portray the growth of evil within the boys and uses them to suggest that possibly this evil lies in all men. Perfectly normal boys become complete savages within weeks "Kill the pig! Cut his throat! Kill the pig! Bash him in!" There is no evil influence upon the island except for a "beastie" which is used by the boys as an excuse for everything, but is shown to the reader to be little more than the evil inside all of them ..."You knew, didn't you? I'm part of you?". Society holds everyone together and without these conditions, ideals, and values, the basics of right and wrong are lost. Golding creates a society by using the boys to display the different characters within it. Each of the boys adopt certain characteristics and each begin to fill different roles. The society however is weak and as soon as cracks begin to appear it falls apart. He shows that if the thin 'veneer' of law and order in society is removed then the forces of evil become all too dominant. Ralph represents a sensible leader and when his influence diminishes, along with that of Piggy who represents the intelligent aspect of society, life on the island goes downhill. Without this influence of society the boys become mere savages. The boys represent the simple fact that man learns nothing from his mistakes. The boys enter an island of complete paradise "Fruit and flower grew together on the same tree and everywhere was the scent of ripeness and the booming of a million bees at pasture." They came to be here by accident whilst fleeing a world destroyed by nuclear warfare, a world that man had destroyed.

Conspiracy Theories Around 9-11 - 1460 Words

The worst terrorist attack in U.S history occurred on September 11, 2001. According to U.S government officials, nineteen men hijacked four fuel-loaded commercial planes with the intent to destroy the World Trade Center in New York City, as well as both the Pentagon and the White House in Washington D.C. The attacks began at 8:46am ET when American Airline’s Flight 11 struck the North tower of the World Trade Center, causing chaos on the streets below. Not even twenty minutes later, another commercial plane, United Airlines Flight 175, struck the south tower. Americans and people all over the world watched helplessly as the action on the East Coast unfolded. Any American old enough to remember can most likely tell you exactly where he or†¦show more content†¦One MSNBC reporter, who was actually inside the north tower after the plane struck, stated â€Å"I heard a second explosion†¦And then a fire marshal came in and said we had to leave, because if there was a t hird explosion this building might not last† (Bombs and Explosions in the WTC 1). This quote not only tells us that there was a possible explosion inside the World Trade Center, but that there seem to have been more than one. If the collapse of the towers really was a controlled demolition as it looked like to many, this would mean that a lot of premeditated work to place explosives would have had to occur. Seeing as very few people have access to every place of the World Trade Center, it does seem likely that some government cooperation would have been needed to make it happen. Many researchers claim that the explosions heard in and around the World Trade Center could have been from exploding electrical transformers. They say that the heat from the fire was too much for the transformers and caused explosions throughout the building. Author of George Washington’s Blog had this to say about the topic: â€Å"Well, if exploding transformers caused these sounds and the collapse of the Twin Towers, why didnt we hear the same things and see the collapse of the buildings in Madrid, Venezuela, Los Angeles and elsewhere which burned hotter andShow MoreRelatedQuestions On The World Trade Center Terror Attacks1538 Words   |  7 Pages Conspiracy Theory Inquiry Proposal Name: Kyle Dahya Form: 12DB Conspiracy Event: 9/11 US World Trade Centre Terror Attacks Possible focusing questions which will guide my inquiry are: 1.
